This website contains information on network administration subjects that I
found difficult to learn as I attended the Cisco Network Academy courses at CNM.
In order to better understand these concepts, I found it was helpful to "explain"
them to myself. Thus these pages were born.
We start out with a basic Subnetting procedure using the time-honoured method
of binary. Then we move on to actual examples.
Next we talk about Route Summarization which is used with routing protocols to
keep the routing tables to a reasonable size.
In the last section, we show a method to calculate the network address and wildcard mask
for Access Control Lists or ACLs.
